Located in the redwoods of Occidental, California, Jolene’s Retreat is a special place where rescued farm animals get the love and care they deserve. Founded in 2023, this 10-acre sanctuary is home to pigs, chickens, & ducks, and other farm animals who’ve been saved from tough situations and now live their lives surrounded by kindness, safety, and sunshine.
At Jolene’s, the focus is on compassion—for animals, for the planet, and for each other. Every animal here has a story, and visitors are encouraged to get to know them, learn about their unique personalities, and understand the deeper impacts of animal agriculture on our world.
